Stephen Dover graduated in medicine and dentistry from the University of Birmingham. He undertook general surgery training and gained an FRCS before specialist training in OMFS. Following cleft and craniofacial fellowships in India, USA and the UK he was appointed as a consultant to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and Birmingham Children’s Hospital. His main areas of practice are adult and paediatric craniofacial surgery and the management of congenital and acquired deformity. Stephen has contributed to the development of posterior vault expansion in the treatment of craniosynostosis. He currently serves on Council of the International Society of Craniofacial Surgery. He was formerly Chair of the UK OMFS training committee and is immediate past President of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the European Society of Craniofacial Surgery.
