Dr Dipesh Rao

He did his Maxillofacial Surgical training from SDM and was the best outgoing postgraduate student and received a gold medal for academic excellence. Following his Maxillofacial training, he completed a one-year Cleft lip and Palate fellowship at the Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Bangalore. 

Globally only a few surgeons have the privilege of training in Paediatric Maxillofacial Surgery and Craniofacial Surgery, and Dr Rao is one of them. He completed his Paediatric Maxillofacial fellowship at Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital and furthered his training by pursuing a Craniofacial fellowship at the Oxford Craniofacial Unit.  

Dr Rao's spectrum of work includes primary cleft deformity, craniosynostosis, complex facial deformities and rhinoplasty. 

He is currently one of three consultants at the Cleft Leadership Center, Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Bangalore. The center performs over 650 cleft related surgeries every year.
